But do you like these headlights?

I have had a thing for the E34 for a while

I'm even more generous — I like any headlight that doesn't protrude from the natural body line (a lot of them do this now) and also does not extend more than about 10% down the quarter panel (some of them stretch about 50%). Some design elements — or at least limitations — should remain in place and allow the rest of the work to evolve around it.

Your argument has grounds, but you just cherry picked an offender.
I like the Optima very much.
And even some new cars almost have them.

Unlike you, I’ve always liked them— just now, I like them more .
My neighbor’s has made me commit both lust and envy.

It took me a couple of years to come around, think I started liking them when I was 15 or 16. Interesting, I see a Texas car but no registration sticker.

The magic of the clone brush. :) Didn’t want that ugly sticker fucking up my pretty picture.

Like this guy:
They go all the way back to the damn A-pillar.

Fair enough. I didn’t want that front license plate fucking up my pretty bumper.

Get out. How do you re-gray someone?

Same here, neither my MR2 nor my E60 has had one.
Only one ticket for it in 14 years...

Wow....I think we have a record-holder. That’s over 90% if you count the front bumper.

The evolution is much better.

modern cars that have smooth headlights like that Aston are an exception. I think of like Toyota Supra MK4 headlights. In fact Astons seem to be a “ugly design” exception. They are very smoothly designed cars exactly how I like.
That Alfa Romeo is against current trends, even when it was new.
I am not a fan of that kia’s lights.

Those things would look big if you put them on a Silverado, but Chevy decided they’d look good on their subcompact.

I think these cars gave me an idea for my next post like this. Grills.

Or these ones?

Agreed.

Pictured: A Nissan 350Z, an FCA product, a Mazda that isn’t a Miata/Rotary, a hideous piece of shit that has less sophisticated suspension than its predecessors from 20 years ago, green sausage.

Hah, I admit I like your style - you win.

I’m probably one of the few who loves those headlights.

I think I am less worried about the "no front plate" ticket that I could get and the higher likelihood of not getting away with speeding or other violations because the cop has found something else to gig me on. Its like I would have to be more careful to follow other laws because the plate makes me stick out. I have found that an offset mount keeps things legal and looks much better generally.
